Quick Beginner Crochet Cowl

I love this cowl for those blustry winter days, it provides great neck/face protection from the wind and snow, yet it’s not as bulky/heavy as a big scarf.

Let’s Begin!

What You Need:

Abbreviations:

ch = Chain

sl st = Slip Stitch

hdc = Half Double Crochet

Gauge = 5 hdc = 3″

Finished Size = ″ circumference & ″ height

Written in Standard US terms

Cowl Pattern:

ch 60, make sure ch is not twisted, sl st to first ch to form a circle

Round 1: ch 2, hdc in 3rd ch from the hook, hdc in every st around, sl st to top of first hdc (60)

Round 2: ch 2, hdc in the first st and continue hdc in every st around, sl st to top of first hdc (60)

Round 3-12 : Repeat round 2

Finish: After the sl st on the last round, fasten off with scissors and weave in loose ends using crochet hook or yarn needle.
